Living Notes: A shared space for youth homelessness evidence, practice, and policy

Living Notes is a space for short reflections, evidence updates, and field-facing commentary on youth homelessness interventions.

The goal is to make evidence easier to discuss, question, and use. This page is for researchers, policy analysts, service providers, students, advocates, community partners, and others working to prevent and end youth homelessness.

Systematic reviews and evaluation studies often sit behind journal pages or technical reports. Living Notes is meant to translate those findings into shorter, more accessible updates while still linking back to the original sources.

This is also a place for conversation. As the evidence base grows, Living Notes can help connect what researchers are finding with what communities, practitioners, and policymakers are trying to understand.

What you will find here

Living Notes may include:

  • summaries of systematic reviews;

  • updates on new youth homelessness intervention studies;

  • reflections on evidence gaps;

  • notes on promising program models;

  • questions for future research;

  • policy and practice implications;

  • links to open-access studies and related resources.

The posts are not meant to replace full studies or formal reviews. They are meant to help people find, understand, and discuss evidence more easily.
